1. OBJECTIVES
Eismann S.r.l., established in Italy, 37060 – SONA (VR), n. 18 Via Molina, announces “Eismann Arte per Passione 2011″, an international video contest for young video-makers.
2. PARTECIPANTS
The competition is open to filmmakers, professional video artists and film schools’ students, but also to non-professionals, Italian or foreign, coming from every country of the European Community, with an age among 18 and 30 years at the date of registration.
3. THEME
The contest theme is “Recipe of Love: ingredients and how to make”.
The theme can be freely interpreted by the participants.
4. VIDEO ENTRIES
Participants may realize the video in color, black and white or graphic animation technique.
The lenght of the video must be between 30’’ (30 seconds) and 5’ (5 minutes), including credits.
Only original works, adhered to the theme of the contest, will be accepted in the competition, after evaluation of the promoter it will be removed not original, with obscene, violent works or with hidden advertising.
The video must be realize with a resolution at least as good as DVD Video format (720 x 576) or higher and must be upload during the registration phase in the extensions provided by current technology (avi, mov, mp4, mpeg, flv).
Videos must be original and author must be the copyright holder of the video, the script and the soundtrack and he must have an authorization for uses of locations.
The promoter cannot be held responsible for illegibility of video files for technical reasons.
5. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The only way to partecipate the competition is through www.arteperpassione.it website.
The author must fill every field of the registration form with accurate and verifiable data and accept the terms of this Regulation and the Privacy Laws.
If video displayed recognizable subjects, the author must send by mail, to Eismann Srl headquarters, the permission for the transfert of image rights signed by the person pictured or by the person exercising parental authority over the child on video, related by a copy of his valid ID card.
Each artist can partecipate with only one video, under penalty of exclusion.
Registration can be filled just on www.arteperpassione.it website until 24:00 July 31st 2011.
The participation at the contest is totally free.
6. WINNERS SELECTIONS
The video contest will be voted on by users until 24:00 September 30th 2011.
It will also set up a jury, composed of film, photography and graphics experts, and business representatives.
20 finalists will be selected from videos received in accordance with the terms of regulation;10 videos will be chosen by the jury and the other 10 by the votes of web users. Finalists have to send videos copied in a DVD support, with author’s full name, video title, a brief synopsis and a signature. The box must be sent by mail to “Arte per Passione 2011 – Eismann Srl, Via Molina 18 – 37060 Sona (VR) – Italy”.
Shipping costs are paid by the finalists. The finalist videos will be displayed during an evening cerimony that it will be held during the 2011 in a prestigious location, to be defined. By October 2011, the jury will select winning videos among finalists ones.
7. PRIZES
The video contest winner will be awarded by a prize of 2000.00 €, before Italian taxation. the second one by a prize of 1,000.00 €, before Italian taxation, and the third one awarded a prize of 500.00 €, before Italian taxation.
The winner of web competition will be awarded by a prize of 500.00 €, before Italian taxation.
8. MODIFICATION OF REGULATION
The regulation may be amended, to be published on the competition website and they will enter into force one day after its publication. For more information contact: www.arteperpassione.it
Any request or specification for the organization of competition should be addressed to Eismann Srl.
9. DECLARATION OF PARTICIPANTS
Each participant shall ensure that the videos submitted are original and they do not infringe rights of third parties.
Eismann Srl can not be held responsible for any rights violations committed by third party participants.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Eismann Srl by any request, whether for compensation requested by those who still suffer an infringement of their rights, including individuals who appear in the video.
If the waiver for the transfer of image rights, at point 5. doesn’t be true, the participant will be excluded from the competition and Eismann Srl reserves the right to claim for damages.
The participants authorize the publication of their video on the website www.arteperpassione.it and any other web site chosen by Eismann Srl, renouncing any financial claim.
The participants, in the case to be the video finalists , authorize Eismann Srl to use their videos for the projections in the evening cerimony and to use their generality and their video for press releases, briefing papers and publications, including video, renouncing any financial claim.
10. PROPERTY RIGHTS AND REPRODUCTION OF WORK
The Winners of the contest give to Eismann Srl, with no any additional compensation, rights of use related to their work, or rather Eismann Srl could use these videos, publish or transfer them at its own discretion in any form projection (publications, promotional videos, etc..), of electronic means (websites, multimedia presentations, etc..) and / or other audio-visual media.
11. CONTROVERSY
The present regulation is written in italian. In case of misunderstanding, the official version is the italian one. The applicable legislation is exclusively Italian.
In case of disagreement on the interpretation or controversy, the jurisdiction will be Foro of Verona-Italy.
